IQPlus - Listed pharmaceutical company PT Kalbe Farma Tbk ( KLBF ) is looking for healthy food and beverage companies to be acquired. Because, it has set aside around Rp100 - Rp500 billion to support such action.

"We had to spend about Rp100 - Rp500 billion from internal cash, for any food companies and health drinks that can be acquired by the Company later," said Director and Corporate Secretary KLBF, Vidjongtius.

He claimed, the Company was approached by dozens of food companies and health drinks home country to be acquired. "We still prioritize acquiring local companies in the country," he said.

He explained that his party companies targeting small and medium scale business to be acquired. However Vidjongtius not targeting when the company's management to realize the proposed acquisition of the food and health drinks.

"We can not confirm whether this year there is a deal or not. Due to the many factors that can affect the acquisition process, including the price of the company," he said .

He noted, at this time, food and health drinks contribute up to 30% to the Company's revenues. "Therefore, the acquired healty food and beverage companies becomes our focus. It has great potential to be developed," he said.

As for this year, Kalbe Farma will spend a total of around Rp1 trillion to Rp1,25 trillion. "The funds that we will use to complete the relocation of dairy factory in Cikarang, expansion of branches and warehouses in a number of areas," he added.
