The project will require an area of around 226 hectares.

Bareksa.com - The nation’s first and largest public-private partnership project, the 2,000 megawatt Batang coal-fired power plant in Central Java, faced another delay, prompting its operator, Bhimasena Power Indonesia, to declare force majeure on Tuesday, according to a statement from Adaro Power.

Quoted from Jakarta Globe, Adaro Power owns a 34 percent stake in Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI). It said the difficulties in acquiring land for the project remained the biggest hurdle.

J-Power and Itochu, both Japanese firms, own a 34 percent and a 32 percent interest in the consortium, respectively.
