Private electricity firms could also develop their own transmission network

The Jakarta Post - The government has invited private companies to invest in the power plant and power distribution business as state-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) appears unable to cope with high demand.

Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry director general for electricity Jarman said his office was considering a new plan that would ensure electricity supply, including via developing integrated industrial zones.
