Dahlan asked Indofarma to improve performance before consoli

In 2013 Kimia Farma posted a net profit of IDR 215.64 billion

IQPlus - BUMN Minister Dahlan Iskan asked the directors of PT Indofarma (Persero) to fix the financial performance prior consolidation with PT Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk.

"Indofarma is still at a loss. Several clean up must be done first in financial performance, only then the company can easily consolidated with Kimia Farma," Dahlan said, after holding a meeting of the Governing Ministry of Enterprise, at the office of PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (Persero), Jakarta on Thursday.

According to Dahlan, one of the requirements to combine the companies is both company had to be in a condition that is actually healthy.

"Kimia Farma is good financially, but Indofarma is at loss, it's not fair, both company should be equally strong," he said.

For the record, in 2013 Kimia Farma posted a net profit of IDR 215.64 billion, up from IDR 205.76 billion in 2012.

At the same time sales of Kimia Farma reached IDR 4.3 trillion, jumped from IDR 3.73 trillion in the previous year.

Meanwhile Indofarma in 2013 suffered a loss of IDR 54.22 billion, although revenue grew to IDR 1.34 trillion.
