The sport bike will serve the overseas market.

Bareksa.com - Indonesia will become the manufacturing base for the Yamaha R25 sport bike after Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) — which manufactures and markets Yamaha motorcycle in Indonesia — was appointed to handle its production.

Eko Prabowo, general manager for marketing and promotion at YIMM, said in Jakarta Globe that customers can get the R25 delivered to them by the end of the fourth quarter. Even though the sport bike will serve the overseas market, the company will also fulfill domestic demand, he said.

In Indonesia, YIMM not only manufactures and markets Yamaha motorcycles. It also offers a training facility through its Global Training Center in West Java. This facility has trained Yamaha’s mechanics, not only from Indonesia, but also from other Southeast Asian countries like Thailand and Vietnam.
