Car Sales Jump 13% in June

The Idul Fitri festival is indeed a spur to sales growth.

Bareksa.com - Car sales are up as city-dwellers upgrade their vehicles in preparation for the annual Idul Fitri homewards exodus at the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Data from Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) showed car sales reached 109,706 units in June, up 13 percent from May’s 97,147 units. In the first half of this year car sales reached 641,511 units, up 6.17 percent from the same period last year.
