MNC Kapital spent IDR 7.95 billion to buy BABP stock

The total share ownership by MNC Kapital Indonesia increased to 1,371,519,550 shares per March 14, 2014

IQPlus - PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk ( BCAP ) has spent about IDR 7.95 billion to take as many as 54,860,700 shares of PT Bank ICB Bumiputera Tbk (BABP) .

Director of MNC Kapital Indonesia , Wandhy Wira Riady said , BABP share purchase was carried out starting on March 1, 2014 to March 18, 2014 . " We BABP shares at IDR 145 per share with a strategic investment destination , " said Wandhy , in a statement on Wednesday night .

With the purchase of the shares , the total share ownership by MNC Kapital Indonesia increased to 1,371,519,550 shares per March 14, 2014. This amount is equivalent to 25 percent of all shares outstanding in the market BABP .

As is known , the purchase of shares made by the MNC Kapital Indonesia is the realization of a conditional share purchase agreement ( Conditional Sell and Purchase Agreement ) by the company with the ICB Financial Group Holdings AG .

The plan , BCAP will acquire a 30 percent stake in the BABP . This is part of a strategic effort to strengthen the company's position as an investment company engaged in the financial services sector with a complete and integrated service .

The acquisition was carried out to provide added value for customers , business partners , the company , the shareholders and stakeholders of the company.
